Chinese Cultural Association of New Brunswick (Updated on August 27, 2023)

Greetings, and welcome to the CCANB community!

The Chinese Cultural Association of New Brunswick (CCANB) and its Chinese Language School were established on October 1977 in Fredericton. It is the first and earliest non-profit cultural and educational institution for the Chinese community in the province.

Since then our Chinese Language School has evolved into a multi-faceted institution where parents, teachers, students and volunteers gather weekly to teach & participate in a wide variety of classes, seminars and social/cultural events. Our members have significantly contributed to the cultural and educational experiences of the citizens of Fredericton and New Brunswick.

In recent years, Chinese immigration to New Brunswick has become increasingly diversified with the infusion of new immigrants from a wide spectrum of social and economic backgrounds. It is our continual goal to provide a warm and welcoming environment for all our members and newcomers to our community.

CCANB has become a focal point for the growing Chinese community, promoting cross-cultural understanding and good will among fellow Canadians. We’ve helped make New Brunswick a vibrant and multicultural community.

I look forward to seeing you in our Chinese School and at many CCANB events soon!

Best Wishes,
