In a heartwarming display of compassion, the members of the Chinese Cultural Association of New Brunswick (CCANB), have rallied together to support Shahram, an English teacher at the CCANB Chinese School, whose home was tragically destroyed in a fire on September 21, 2023.

Shahram is an English teacher for the MCAF. His presence was a familiar sight on Sunday at the CCANB Chinese school, where he provided free English lessons to many members of the Chinese community.

CCANB wasted no time in launching a fundraising campaign, receiving generous donations totaling $14,125 from over 50 residents from the Fredericton Chinese community.

On October 6, CCANB President Lan Hu and Vice President Hui Pang personally delivered these funds to Shahram, extending the warm embrace of the Fredericton Chinese community during his time of need.

暖心！中文学校英语老师遭火灾家被烧毁，CCANB发起募款！

华人积极踊跃，纷纷献上爱心！

9月21日，福莱的一栋四层公寓发生火灾，整栋楼几乎被全部烧毁。

不幸的是，福莱中文学校的Shahram老师和他的家人正是那栋楼里的居民，他和家人在这场火灾中失去了一切。Shahram老师是MCAF的英语老师，几年来他义务为华人讲授英语。每周日在中文学校总是能看到Shahram老师的身影，免费为华人们授课，很多的华人都曾经听过他的课。

火灾无情人有情，事件发生后，CCANB与Shahram老师取得联系，了解情况。随即在华人中发起募捐，以帮助Shahram老师受灾后的生活。短短几天时间，CCANB收到福莱50余位华人的捐款$14125元。

10月6日，CCANB会长胡兰和副会长庞慧向Shahram老师转交了捐款，也把福莱华人们的真诚和爱意传递给Shahram老师。
